You will certainly find some terms missing, even after a diligent search. The book is not a be-all-and-end-all. But you will be surprised at the number of writing, translation and interpretation questions for which you can find a quick answer. Not to mention exploration of the nooks and crannies of American English, useful for enriching one’s writing. In the few cases where you come up empty handed, the huge tomes at the library are still available. INTRODUCTION As previously noted, my wife, Chie, is in a sense responsible for this book.
